How to Open up Your Voice & Sing with Real Power
and Ultimate Self Expression

Do you remember it?  The first time you heard a song that made you want to be a singer?  You listened as an artist bared their soul and poured all of their heart and energy into the music.  When your heart is really in it, singing becomes the ultimate form of self expression and release.

And if you're a true singer at heart...

That emotional release is what you crave more than anything.

More than money, more than fame.  More than just the admiration of friends and strangers.  It's more than getting the last laugh on the morons who made you feel you can't do it.

Simply having the ability to open your mouth and pour your most intense emotions into music makes your pulse race.  There is nothing that can give you more personal satisfaction than singing well.  This is also the secret, magical quality that makes other people want to listen to you.  No one wants to hear a show off.

Your audience just wants to hear you sing and put into music the same emotions that they feel!

You have the talent within you.  You simply would not want it so bad if it wasn't laready within you in the first place.  It may be hidden deeply, but it is certainly there.

You just need the right technique to bring it out.  Don't let anyone make you believe otherwise.

The first thing you'll need to do (after your breathing & relaxation exercises) is to AVOID the mistakes that constrict and hold back your voice.

Today we'll talk about your posture and keeping an open vocal pathway.  It sounds simple, but the way you hold yourself can determine whether your voice soars freely or gets stuck in your throat, sounding flat and whiny.

The worst mistake that even experienced singers make is to stretch your head back to reach high or strong notes and then push your head forward to reach the low tones.  It's understandable.  It feels natural.

But don't do it!

This creates so much tension in your throat and neck that your voice will tighten up and sound thin, brittle and aggravating to listen to.  Keep your head straight for every single note.  Keep your posture relaxed and let your sound flow out naturally.

You will achieve every single vocal quality that you want when you learn to allow and not force.  You'll get stronger.  You will increase your range.  You'll develop a voice that is beautiful - and not just pretty.

An open throat and vocal pathway is truly one of the best kept singing secrets in the world.  This is one of the secrets that will finally allow you to express yourself fully in the way you've always longed for.

Until next time.
